How To Buy A Gun Online

  If you’ve never purchased a firearm online the task can seem daunting but we’re here to help you though the process and make it as easy as possible.

  Online purchases must be transferred by a local Federal Firearms Licensee (FFL) which JM Public Safety Inc. is. You may NOT have a firearm shipped directly to your home or place of business. Attempting to do so will get you in trouble with both local law enforcement as well as the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, and Firearms (ATF) and can result in many years in federal prison.

  You will have to complete a federal form with your FFL, called Form 4473. The FFL will complete a mandatory background check to make sure you are not a “Prohibited Person”

What is a Prohibited Person?

  A “prohibited person” is anyone who [1]:

• is a felon,
• has been convicted of any crime punishable by more than a year in prison (whether or not they were ever sentenced to or served a day in prison),
• is under indictment for any crime punishable by more than year in prison,
• is a fugitive,
• is an unlawful user of any controlled substance,
• has been adjudicated as a mental defective,
• has been committed to a mental institution,
• is an illegal alien,
• has a dishonorable discharge from the military,
• has renounced their U.S. citizenship,
• is the subject of a restraining order restraining the person from harassing, stalking, or threatening an intimate partner or the child of an intimate partner, or
• who has been convicted of a misdemeanor crime of domestic violence.

Steps To Buying a Gun Online

• Step 1: Purchase the Gun Online
• Step 2: Arrange the Firearm Transfer
• Step 3: Pickup Your Gun From the FFL

Step 1: Purchase the Gun Online

  Once you’ve decided on the gun to buy and have purchased it from a reputable dealer complete the purchase. Let the seller know that JM Public Safety Inc. will be completing the transfer.

Step 2: Arrange the Firearm Transfer

  Contact JM Public Safety Inc. (info@jmpublicsafetyinc.com) to let us know you’ve purchased a firearm. The information we’ll need to know is:

• Firearm Information: Make, model, and any other decerning information
• Seller’s Information: Business name, address, phone number, and email address
• We’ll email a copy of our FFL directly to the seller
• Tracking Information: Once your firearm is shipped please email us the tracking number so we can make sure to be available to sign for it when it comes in.

Step 3: Pickup Your Gun From the FFL

  We will contact you once we’re in possession of the firearm. Please do not stop by before we contact you.

  When you come to pick up your firearm make sure you bring a GOVERNMENT issued picture ID (Driver’s License, State ID) with your CURRENT address on it.

  We’ll complete the required paperwork and as long as there are no issues with the background check you’ll get to take your new firearm home! Wisconsin does NOT have a waiting period for firearms.

Handgun: $30 (Includes the $10 background check fee)

Long Gun: $20

Consignment Sales: 20% of the final sales price.
